Random Free Pattern Day

Hello lovely readers. Whew! It's been a while, hasn't it? I know, I've been putting blogging waaaay out on the back burner for quite a while now. To be honest, I don't know how often I'll be able to blog for the time being. I've been dealing with some rather intense chronic nerve pain this year and it makes it difficult for me to do anything, including sit at the computer for very long. I've had every test in the book and so far my half-dozen doctors have just given up and called it Fibromyalgia.
Soooo, that's been a whole heap of fun...

Today, to try and distract myself, I decided to play with some lovely vintage French magazines. I then stumbled across a lovely little sewing pattern included in one of them that I just had to translate and share with you all!


This sweet little pattern from 1939 comes as a diagram with measurements (in centimeters) that should fit a 10 year old girl. It can also be cut on the bias in stripes for a cute little chevron effect.

    So sorry to hear of the nerve pain, Anna. My sister suffers with a chronic disorder so I know well the difficulties. Such a sweet dress - it's too bad little girls prefer jeans nowadays. The contrast is eye-catching.

    This pattern is super cute! Thank you very much for sharing, now to find some little girl to give it to. All the little girls I know are 5 and under. Though, I'm sure it can be fiddled with...

    Snap! Mine started just over a year ago. It sucks, i know.the lack of solutions to the problem is the most frustrating part. This dress is utterly adorable. Thanks for sharing it.

    I'm sorry to hear about your health struggles, it seems so unfair that a true diagnosis or cure can't be found. I really hope that things will get better for you.

    Thank you for sharing this pattern, it is adorable. I am absolutely going to download it - it will be a while before my daughter fits into it, but she will wear this dress (and I will sew it . . .)
