A Few Threads Loose has 202 Followers! When did that happen?! Was it while I was being bad and not blogging very often? You guys are just too great, really. So to celebrate fooling 202 people into thinking I can sew and stuff, how about a giveaway? And not a pdf either, some real, honest to goodness, "I would hang on to this stuff myself if I wasn't so flooded with sewing loot that I couldn't find my sewing machine" goodies.
So here's the prize:
Two very cool sewing patterns, and, wait for it, A $35 GIFT CARD TO MY ETSY SHOP. Yup, are we celebrating yet? I would be toasting myself with a glass of fine cask-strength scotch right not if I didn't have to drive somewhere in an hour.
So yes, if you want to win Simplicity 4492, Simplicity 1378 and $35 worth of goodies from Mrs. Depew Vintage, you just need to do the following:
1. Become a follower of A Few Threads Loose... and leave a comment saying you did. If you already follow, you can leave a comment about that too. The more, the merrier!
2. For another entry, you can "like" A Few threads Loose on Facebook... and leave me a comment saying you did.
3. You can also mention A Few Threads Loose or this giveaway on your blog for another entry.
4. And lastly, for an extra entry, I would love to know what you think I should sew next, and blog about? Should I sew a dress, more lingerie, pillows, slippers, a skirt? What would you like to see next?
I'll announce the lucky winner next Saturday October 1st.
Good luck, and thanks for reading my blog! I love you guys!
You ought to sew a new dress next, something with an adorable nipped waist so I can live vicariously through you. I won't be seeing my waist again until February, much less sewing anything for it. lol
ReplyDelete@Snarktastical You are hilarious! My waist isn't what it was a few months ago either... I'm hoping more crunches and slim fast will lead to a tiny waist some day... except I really love food. Sigh... :)
ReplyDeleteHeya, I've been a follower for AGES congrats on your followers! I already like you on FB and I think you should totally sew some Lingerie. I've been wanting to do it but it will be a first for me. I'd love to do some tap pants or something. Love to see what you do!

Congrats on all of your followers. I am one of them :)
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if you needed seprate comments for the different methods, I know that a lot of bloggers do it that way. If you didn't I am sorry for the multi-message.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I already "like" you on facebook too :0
I would love to see you do a blouse, I know it wasn't on your list, but I have been seeing lots of fall/winter skirts, but I haven't seen very many lovely tops to go with them.
ReplyDeleteI became a follower! Sew pillows next, with piping, because I need some inspiration.
ReplyDeletetheblugator at gmail.com
Oh big celebration! Congrats on 202! :D
ReplyDeleteI already follow your blog here and I've already liked you on facebook, have done for months now. I personally would like to see you sew up some lingerie next. It's not done very often and I know you have some amazing lingerie patterns in your collection!
Congradulations! You are one of my daily blog stops, especially good for relaxing after a long hard day at work. I have officially followed you though. I would love to win this! I am thinking of sewing up some lingerie, so I would love a post about that. I already have liked your facebook page!
ReplyDeleteNadine P.
I've been wanting that dress pattern for awhile! I love it. I'm now following your blog!
ReplyDeleteI also wasn't sure if you needed separate comments...but I also liked you on Facebook. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching over 200 followers!!! I absolutely adore your blog and I'm glad other people do too :)
ReplyDelete(And I'm already a follower)
Congrats and lots of confetti on your blog. I've been following you for a while and love your posts. Especially the ones showcasing vintage magazines. So how about a coat? I am looking for some inspiration. Maybe you've got a few ideas.
ReplyDeleteReally like your blog. Love to sew and do all kinds. I have some of my granmas patterns. I am into retro aprons at the present time. Congrats on reaching over 200 followers. I will be glad to become one.
ReplyDeleteBecame a follower ;)

Am already a follower! Nice giveaway. I love reading about lingerie making. There aren't all that many blogs about it. Hope I win :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a GFC follower! maryvannote(at)gmail (dot)com
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in making pants for myself for the fall. So, I'd love to see you make some pants!
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm a new follower. :)

I'm also a fan on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower... I think? I have you bookmarked and subscribed to your feed.
ReplyDeleteI am also a fan on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI'm really into coordinated separates right now so I'd like to see a jacket pant OR skirt combo. There's a lot of really nice 1940s/1950s ones, in particular...
ReplyDeleteOoh, I already follow you using RSS. Hmm,what to make next? A dress is always interesting, but the lingerie is kinda unique to you! Maybe more of that. Or combine the two? A dress and something special to go underneath it!
ReplyDeleteAlready a follower of your blog :) Loved your halter pdf- mine came out great!

Great giveaway! I'm a follower of your blog. Thanks for the chance to win! jeanninecook(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteCongrats on over 200 followers - so exciting, and such a wonderful giveaway to celebrate :) I'm a follower of your blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm a facebook fan!
ReplyDeleteI love your lingerie posts - I'd honestly never considered sewing lingerie until I'd read a few of your posts.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I've followed you on Google Reader for awhile, but also just subscribed as a follower. Love your blog and your etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteAlso liked you on facebook!
ReplyDeleteYou're one of the few bloggers I see that makes lingerie, so I would love to see more of those types of garments.
ReplyDeleteThat dress pattern is gorgeous. I'm a follower already. I think you should sew some more lingerie. I say this for purely selfish reasons because I'm interested in making lingerie and I always like seeing lingerie that others have made.
ReplyDeletePick me, pick me! I love following your blog (and yes can sew quite well, no one is fooled around here). This is such a generous giveaway - if I win I will have to take my printer to the repair shop ASAP so I can take advantage of the gift card to your wonderful Esty shop.
ReplyDeleteAs far as what you should sew next, I am torn. I would love to see some lingerie - as I want to venture into this and am always looking for more inspiration. I would also love to see you sew up some of those fabulous patterns you picked out for wear-to-work outfits.
ReplyDeleteAlready a follower and entering this so I can guiltlessly purchase off my Favourites list on your Etsy! I can't believe I'm about to type this but, I'm actually not interested in the paper patterns as I have so many too but if I'm lucky enough to win I will give them away at my blog or you could choose a second winner?
ReplyDeleteAlso a facebook follower as you know (XA)
ReplyDeleteAs for what you should make, I'd like to see more of your bra patterns made up - you have really nice patterns on etsy but I'm always a bit wary of it they look - and fit - as pretty as the pattern does! Are they quick and easy projects?

I went to buy fabric for the teddy this week (I ended up too poorly to go when I intended) only to find they had sold out of the gorgeous fabric I wanted - at £2.20pm hardly surprising but - I can't begin to tell you how down-hearted I felt when I left that shop. Now thinking of trying it in lawn or something akin to that...
@Anna Depew I feel your pain Anna ~ I am still hanging onto those last post-baby kilos that I am dying to loose, but I can't seem to say no to my sweets!! : /
ReplyDelete~ * ♥ * ~
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the big 202! I am a follower via GFC and I liked you on FB.
As for the next sewing project ~ how about a how to on tackling a pair of vintage trousers? The idea of sewing pants scares me to death; I'd love to see how you go about it. :D

I follow on Bloglovin', does that count? I always love to see pretty dresses, it cheers me up on a miserable day. It would be lovely if you were to sew a dress next.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower! Congratulations on (at this point) 212 followers!
ReplyDeleteI 'Like' you on Facebook, too. I'd love to see a Fall-ish skirt--something that can be worn in cool weather. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat give away and cngrats on the 202 followers! I fllow you by e-mail subscroption!
ReplyDeleteHello, I'm a follower! Your prize is so amazing, I'd love to win!
ReplyDeleteI just liked you on facebook too (Emma Morton)
ReplyDeleteAnd finally, I'd love to see you sew some lingere - especially tap pants! If you could review a modern pattern for some that could inspire me to make my own!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower now :) I love the patterns, so here is hoping... and I am going with everyone else who's already said lingerie; maybe if you do it I will do it too (not scared of many things, but lingerie seems... fiddly!)
ReplyDeleteOoh, congratulations! I'm already a follower and have now liked you on facebook. I think I have to join the concensus for more lingerie posts. It's something so few people blog about and something I want to try my hand at more, so any tips and eye-candy would be greatly welcome. Plus I've been eyeing up your Pauline bra and tap panties pattern for some time and have the perfect fabric in my stash waiting for my to brave it (lightweight slippery silk!).
ReplyDeleteAlready following, and I've just 'liked' the facebook page! I agree, more lingerie, though the slippers could be interesting too, not many people blog about shoemaking.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI think you should sew mor bathing suits.
Those I saw, really pretty!
(follower o.c)
I LOVE dresses, and I love your blog, taking a look for something new almost every day. And I love your shop. ;-) And I like your facebook page...
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I'm a follower but I got here via your newsletter so I read you faithfully via my inbox.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of a basics crisis so maybe assess the holes in your wardrobe and fill them?
Pretty patterns! I would really like to see slippers on you blog as I am really interested in making them at the moment as my slippers are falling apart.
ReplyDeleteI liked you on Face book. (moriane)
ReplyDeleteI am now following you

Anna, this is such a great giveaway! I'd love to be in with a chance to win - I've been following your blog for a while now, I like your Facebook page and I would love to see you sew some more lingerie and dresses ;o)
ReplyDeleteHello there! I am a follower now. I love to shop your Etsy site, and I probably have a dozen of your patterns in my favorites!
ReplyDeleteOh, and what should you sew next? Since I'm a new reader I guess I don't have a good grasp of your recent creations, but I'm trying to focus on sewing separates for myself for the next few months. I've made too many dresses, and have too few occassions to wear them! So if you do some tops, skirts, trousers, jackets, etc, that would certainly help inspire me.
ReplyDeleteWell now I have the trifecta of entries for your giveaway - I mentioned it on my blog! Now, um, does it matter that I only have one follower on my blog? :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I just followed you, because of your lingerie sew along. So great to see, there's a giveaway also. You really have a lovely blog!
