You have set me on the path towards preservation for some of my timeless treasures.CathyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12010125986548648942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-88001083355758616.post-64369945572268605342017-12-20T06:43:21.019+01:002017-12-20T06:43:21.019+01:00Hi,

I wonder about the use of boards in the sleeves. What is their point, if the sleeves are themselves acid-free?
Thanks anyway for this post, and for your inspiring blog.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09485789623374360585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-88001083355758616.post-3752571877082183252017-02-21T09:13:41.669+01:002017-02-21T09:13:41.669+01:00I collect vintage magazines, from the forties and ...I collect vintage magazines, from the forties and fifties, so this was very useful for me too. I have to find the mentioned tape in Denmark, and if not, order it online. Thank you so much for sharing this. Have a lovely day. :)SANNEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12973437247117000140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-88001083355758616.post-39948608360577249352017-02-20T18:02:35.152+01:002017-02-20T18:02:35.152+01:00Oh my! I'm glad you explained the pin thing, I have found rusty pins in many envelope flaps and wondered why.
When I get an envelope that is in terrible condition, I photocopy both sides, then iron it as flat as I can and slip it into an archival bag with an acid-free backer, separate from the pattern itself. That way I never have to handle it again.Katrina Blanchallehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03300264690284771712noreply@blogger.com
