I did sew a gift this year. A coat for my daughter-in-law. I used Butterick pattern B4928. A repro from 1952. She has broad shoulders and the sleeves for this pattern are not set in so its very accommodating. I used a sherpa fleece that way it required to lining. I lapped most of the seams except for the underarm and side seams. It turned out beautifully and my daughter-in-law was so surprised and touched that I would hand make her something.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13921635520527845939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-88001083355758616.post-26958559857110387982014-01-08T20:42:34.636+01:002014-01-08T20:42:34.636+01:00It's so fantastic! (And I can sympathize with the whole lining things in fleece thing... augh!) I would have loved to see his happy face. It looks like a first prize judging from the photos. And no, I did not make any handmade gifts this year, but we will soon start renovating son's room (he moved a few months ago), so I'll have my own sewing room - yipeee! :DSANNEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12973437247117000140noreply@blogger.com
